Your help makes a critical difference in the lives of the animals we care for at the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center. The costs of administering an adoption center that is committed to excellent health and a good quality of life for its residents are much higher than conventional shelters that euthanize all that are not immediately adoptable. In addition, creating the positive atmosphere and the public outreach essential to high adoption rates carries extra costs.

Make a “paws-itive” difference in our community... become a Volunteer at our Animal Center!
The animal center owes thanks to our volunteers of all ages, who tirelessly commit their time and love for the benefit of the animals. These volunteers serve on holidays, weekends, and in many locations in our community. Whether educating the public at community events, answering questions at our center, giving baths to some of our dogs, or providing love and attention to our furry felines, our volunteers are essential for the health and well being of all the centers’ animals.
To become a Rancho Cucamonga Pet Pal Volunteer:
- Please fill out 2 application forms (one for the City and the other for the Animal Center),
- Be at least 18 years of age or older,
- Attend an orientation meeting, and
- Sign up for one-to-one training classes.
Opportunities include: dog walker, animal socializer, adoption counselor, groomer, transporter and helping with community events. To volunteer, click here.
Foster Care Volunteers Urgently Needed
Become part of our foster care program and you could make a huge difference for animals that can’t be adopted right away. The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center is seeking animal-loving volunteers to be part of the Foster Care Program and provide temporary care for animals until they are ready for adoption.
